Wikipedia declares Atal Bihari Vajpayee dead without any official confirmation

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee health continues to be critical, as per the latest updates from AIIMS. The 93-year-old politician was admitted at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on June 11 with a kidney tract infection, urinary tract infection, low urine output and chest congestion.

The former PM, a diabetic, has one functional kidney. He had suffered a stroke in 2009 that weakened his cognitive abilities. Subsequently, he developed dementia.

All major political leaders including PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Arvind Kejriwal, Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited AIIMS today to inquire about his health.

Irresponsibly, without any official confirmation, Wikipedia page of Atal Bihari Vajpayee declared him dead today. However, the page was later updated and the information was removed.

Also, a tweet from the official twitter handle of B.S Yeddyurappa declared Vajpayee Ji dead but the tweet was later deleted.
