Marathi-Hindi film actor Vijay Chavan passed away at 63 years of age. Chavan breathed his last at four o'clock in Mulund's Fortis Hospital this morning.
He was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday due to poor health. Actor's funeral will take place in Mulund at 12 noon. Chavan was famous for his comic characters in both the film and theater.
He has worked in more than 350 Hindi and Marathi films. He gained popularity among the Marathi audience by the Marathi stage drama Moruchi Mavshi.
He played many characters and was famous for his comedic timing which was seen in 'Zapatlela' and his acting role in the 1993 film was later dubbed in Hindi.
