Gurugram SPO killed in hit-and-run case

A Special Police Officer (SPO) was killed and a Haryana Police Constable critically injured when a mini-truck hit their motorcycle here, police said on Monday.

SPO Sanjay Kumar died and Constable Satendra Kumar was injured near Rajesh Pilot Chowk on the Golf Course Extension Road around midnight on Sunday.

Sanjay hailed from Gurugram's Sherpur village near Pataudi. He had retired from the Army in September 2015 and joined as SPO in July 2016, police official Subhash Boken said. The truck driver drove away from the spot.
