Farmer electrocuted in Shamli, UP with irrigating fields

A 35-year-old farmer was electrocuted when he had gone to irrigate his fields in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, police said Thursday.

They said Ajay Kumar came in contact with live electricity wire at his tube well in Dhanena village in the Gharipukhta police station area Wednesday evening.

Another man, Shivkumar (27), also died of electrocution in the district. Shivkumar died when he accidentally touched live electricity wire in Kandhla town.
