Two persons arrested for allegedly circulating counterfeit currency notes in Odisha

Two persons were arrested for allegedly circulating counterfeit currency notes in Odisha's Kalahandi district Friday, police said. The arrest was made following a complaint by a trader, who had sold some sheep and goat to the accused on September 12 and had received a payment of Rs 40,000 in denominations of Rs 500, they said.

When he paid at a shop from the notes he had received, it was found that they were counterfeit and he informed the police about it.
