Heavy rains lash parts of Rajasthan

Rains lashed a number of places in Rajasthan with isolated places the eastern parts of the state witnessing heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Heavy rainfall also occurred at isolated places in western parts of the state since Saturday, the meteorological department said.

Bhungra in Banswara district recorded 15 cm rainfall, followed by Pipalkhunt in Pratapgarh district which recorded 14 cm rains since Saturday. Banswara and Pratapgarh received 13 cm and 11 cm of precipitation respectively.

Since Sunday morning Dabok in Udaipur recorded 14.9 mm of rains while Kota, Jaipur, and Ajmer also gauged 6.8 mm, 4.1mm, and 3.1 mm of rainfall respectively.

The weatherman has issued warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in eastern parts of Rajasthan and heavy rainfall at isolated pockets of western areas till Monday.
