Soybean prices weakens to Rs 25 on Thursday

Soybean prices were down by Rs 25 to Rs 3,283 per quintal in futures trade Thursday as investors cut down their holdings amid subdued overseas lead.

Marketmen said trimmed positions by participants, tracking weak trend in global markets led to fall in soybean prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for October eased by Rs 25, or 0.76 per cent, to Rs 3,283 per quintal, having an open interest of 44,320 lots.

Soybean for November fell by Rs 24, or 0.72 per cent, to Rs 3,296 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 95,710 lots.
