Former Congress MLA Manik dies in Madhya Pradesh after brief illness

Former Congress MLA Manik Lal Parteti died here in Madhya Pradesh after a brief illness, a family member of the leader said Thursday.
He was 92.
Parteti breathed his last at his home in the Sahajpuri village here Wednesday night, the family member said. He was elected as an MLA twice from the Bicchia Assembly seat in Mandla in 1980 and 1986 and had also served as chairman of the Kukkut Vikas Nigam in the state.
He is survived by five sons and a daughter.
