The rate at which the water level is dropping in the Kakhovka reservoir has accelerated to 35 centimeters per hour, said Vladimir Rogov, a Russian-installed official in the Moscow-controlled part of Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region.

The breach of the Kakhovka dam, which supplies some of the cooling water to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, has added to fears of a disaster at Europe's largest nuclear plant, on the front line of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
