- United States
The head of the U.N. World Food Program (WFP) on Sunday said the humanitarian situation in Gaza was catastrophic, that the 20 aid trucks that have entered so far was a drop and that aid agencies needed secure, sustainable access to the enclave.
Speaking on ABC's "This Week" program, WFP chief Cindy McCain said the agency does its very best to ensure aid gets to the people who need it but that Gaza was a war zone and that "things happen." (Reporting By Arshad Mohammed and Kanishka Singh; Editing by Andrea Ricci)
