Greenpeace Activists Scale TotalEnergies HQ in Climate Protest

A group of five activists from campaign group Greenpeace were seen climbing on top of TotalEnergies' headquarters west of Paris on Friday to display a banner critical of the French oil major's strategy to fight climate change, according to a Reuters journalist on the site.

Greenpeace opposes Total's continued exploration of oil and gas, despite a 'climate emergency', a Greenpeace spokesperson told Reuters.

Barriers had already been erected around the entrances of Total's offices in Paris' La Defense district on Thursday evening, with employees told to work from home on Friday.
