76-Year-Old Woman Succumbs to Mortar Shell Blast Injuries in Samba
A 76-year-old woman, named Semroo Devi, who was injured in a mortar shell blast, has died at a government hospital. The incident, which occurred in Khada Madana village in the Purmandal area of Samba district, also left two other individuals injured. Devi succumbed to critical head injuries while the other victims remain stable.

A 76-year-old woman has died after sustaining injuries in a mortar shell blast. The victim, identified as Semroo Devi, succumbed to her injuries at a government hospital on Wednesday morning, officials report.
Devi, along with Rameet Singh (66) and Suriya Bibi (58), was injured when a rusted mortar shell exploded in the Khada Madana village of Samba district on May 27. Both Singh and Bibi are reported to be in stable condition.
After completing the requisite legal and medical formalities, Devi's body was handed over to her relatives. Authorities are investigating the incident further.
