CSC SPV and the Agriculture Ministry have joined forces to revolutionize the way Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) operate. A new memorandum of understanding (MoU) aims to convert 10,000 FPOs into common service centres.
CSC SPV will empower these FPOs to deliver a plethora of services available on the Digital Seva Portal, marking a significant leap towards digital governance in agriculture. The transformation will include essential training and capacity building, thereby ensuring that these FPOs can provide citizen-centric services effectively.
With this initiative, FPOs will become crucial nodes for services such as Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS), and Crop Insurance (PMFBY), among others. Sanjay Rakesh, MD and CEO of CSC SPV, highlighted the far-reaching benefits for farmers associated with FPOs, underscoring the anticipated increase in agriculture-related services offered by CSCs.
