Nalinakshan, a resident of Thrikkaripur in northern Kerala, found himself engulfed in a catastrophic fire in a residential building in Kuwait. In a split-second decision, he leapt onto a nearby water tank, surviving but sustaining broken ribs and other injuries. This heroic move potentially saved his life as the blaze claimed at least 40 Indian lives.

His relatives, residing nearby, swiftly located him and rushed him to a hospital for necessary medical intervention. Balakrishnan, Nalinakshan’s uncle, narrated the harrowing incident, stating, 'We received the shocking news around 11 am on Wednesday. He had jumped onto the water tank but couldn't move. Our relatives found him there and immediately took him to the hospital.'

The catastrophic fire in Mangaf, Ahmadi Governorate, has claimed 49 foreign workers' lives and injured 50 others. As authorities investigate the cause of the fire, Nalinakshan's family holds hope for his full recovery, provided by the renowned medical facilities in Kuwait.
