Godrej Capital Celebrates Pride with Inclusive Career Fair and Allyship Contest

In celebration of Pride Month 2024, Godrej Capital launched 'Pride Capital', an initiative to promote LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the workplace. Partnering with the Tweet Foundation, they held an inclusive career fair, hiring from the LGBTQIA+ community. The event featured discussions on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and highlighted Godrej Capital's ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.

To celebrate Pride Month 2024, Godrej Capital, the financial wing of Godrej Industries Group, unveiled an initiative named 'Pride Capital'. The month-long project aims to reinforce LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the workplace and attract talent from the community.

One significant event was an inclusive career fair held in collaboration with the Tweet Foundation, a non-profit advocating for transgender rights. The career fair saw over 240 profile screenings and a series of interviews with LGBTQIA+ candidates, providing them insights into roles and work culture at Godrej Capital.

Key sessions included an opening keynote from Manish Shah, MD & CEO of Godrej Capital, and a panel discussion featuring notable figures like Bhavya Misra, CHRO of Godrej Capital, and Maya Awasthi, Co-founder of Tweet Foundation. These sessions delved into LGBTQIA+ inclusion in corporate careers and Godrej Capital’s policies on gender equity and inclusion.

Further emphasizing this commitment, Godrej Capital announced initiatives such as home loans for same-sex partners and an Allyship Contest to celebrate employees who advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights. The event highlighted the importance of creating a supportive, inclusive corporate environment that benefits both the community and the workplace.
