Tragic Accident in Gwalior: Four Family Members Killed After Truck Hits Auto-Rickshaw

Four family members were killed and one seriously injured when an overspeeding truck collided with their auto-rickshaw in Gwalior's Purani Chhawani area late Wednesday night. The police have registered a case against the truck driver and commenced an investigation into the incident.

In a tragic accident late Wednesday night, four members of a family were killed and one sustained severe injuries after an overspeeding truck hit their auto-rickshaw in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior district, a police official revealed Thursday.

The collision occurred at the Niravali intersection under the jurisdiction of the Purani Chhawani police station. According to Niranjan Sharma, Additional Superintendent of Police, the victims were returning home to Banmore in Morena district after attending a wedding in Malanpur village, Bhind district.

The deceased have been identified as Naresh Valmik, 52, his wife Usha Valmik, 45, their son Rahul Valmik, 30, and their niece Ankita Valmik, 15. The severely injured auto driver is undergoing treatment at Government Jaya Arogya hospital. The police, who rushed to the scene upon receiving the distress call, have registered a case against the truck driver and launched an investigation into the incident.
