Sandeep Kumar Appointed as Director (Finance) at PFC

The government has appointed Sandeep Kumar as Director (Finance) at Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC), effective July 11, 2024. Previously, Kumar served as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer at PFC. With a career spanning 34 years, he has been instrumental in key financial initiatives.

The government has appointed Sandeep Kumar as Director (Finance) at Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC), with effect from July 11, 2024.

Prior to this appointment, Kumar served as the Executive Director (Finance) at PFC since January 1, 2020, and held the position of Chief Financial Officer. This was confirmed in an official statement released by PFC.

Sandeep Kumar's distinguished career spans over 34 years in the power and financial sectors. He possesses a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Honours) and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

One of his significant contributions includes his pivotal role in the successful roll-out of the Rs 1.12 trillion Liquidity Infusion Scheme (LIS) for the power distribution sector, a crucial initiative under the Government of India's Atmanirbhar Bharat programme.
