Goa CM Inaugurates Center of Excellence, Emphasizes Youth Skill Development

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday addressed the World Youth Skill Day Programme at Kala Academy, marking the inauguration of several Centers of Excellence at ITIs in Farmagudi, Bicholim, Mapusa, Cacora, and Vasco. The event was attended by MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Education Secretary Prasad Lolayekar, and representatives from Tata Tech, Putzmeister, Siemens, Taj Hotels, Jaquar, Daikin, along with other dignitaries.
During the programme, CM Sawant participated in the MoU signing between Tata Technology and the state's ITIs, and he honored district-level achievers and companies contributing to skill development through CSR initiatives. In his speech, Sawant stressed that skilling, reskilling, and upskilling are critical mantras for the youth of Goa, reflecting the vision of 'Kaushal Goa' and 'Kushal Goa,' ultimately aiming for a 'Swayampurna Goa.'
The Chief Minister reiterated the government's commitment to empowering young people through various initiatives like the CM Apprenticeship Program and encouraging private investment in ITIs and educational institutions. He announced that the skills exhibition at Kala Academy would be open until July 15, inviting youth, students, parents, and industry leaders to explore opportunities for skill enhancement, ensuring a brighter future for Goa's aspiring professionals.
