NABARD Launches Rs 750-Crore Agri-SURE Fund to Boost Agri Startups

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has announced the launch of a significant Rs 750-crore fund aimed at fostering startups and rural enterprises. The fund, named 'Agri-SURE,' is spearheaded by NABARD's subsidiary, NABVENTURES, with substantial contributions from NABARD, the Ministry of Agriculture, and other institutions.
Agri-SURE is designed to drive investment in innovative and high-impact agricultural activities. With a focus on sector-specific and sector-agnostic initiatives, the fund plans to support around 85 startups, offering investment sizes up to Rs 25 crore by the end of its term. The fund will also enhance the agricultural value chain, create new rural ecosystem linkages, and support Farmers Producer Organizations (FPOs).
Moreover, the Agri-SURE fund aims to stimulate entrepreneurship through IT-based solutions and machinery rental services, ensuring sustainable growth in the agricultural sector. This initiative underscores NABARD's commitment to driving transformation and development in rural agriculture.
