The grand wedding of Anant Ambani, son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, has brought a star-studded guest list to the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). As a result, Mumbai police have implemented traffic restrictions on several routes in and around this business district for non-event vehicles.
In a notification issued on July 5, Mumbai Police announced alternative traffic arrangements in view of the 'social program' at the convention centre, with restrictions in place from July 12 to 15. Notable attendees include Hollywood and Bollywood stars like John Cena, Rajinikanth, Kim Kardashian, and cricketers such as Mahendra Singh Dhoni, adding glitter to the wedding.
Anant Ambani, 29, is tying the knot with Radhika Merchant, daughter of pharma tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant, after a series of pre-wedding celebrations. To minimize inconvenience, traffic leading to the venue is being diverted with strict no-entry signs for certain routes, ensuring smooth passage for event-related vehicles and additional security measures for VVIPs.
