Anicut Capital Closes Rs 300 Crore Late-Stage Equity Continuum Fund

The firm’s total assets now exceed Rs 3,000 crore. Additionally, Anicut is raising a Rs 1,200-1,500 crore third credit fund set for deployment by the fiscal year’s end.

Anicut Capital has successfully closed its Rs 300 crore late-stage Equity Continuum Fund, aimed at supporting high-potential companies preparing for an IPO within the next 2-4 years. This swift closure, achieved in just eight weeks, has garnered significant investor interest, including a Rs 60 crore infusion from HDFC AMC.
With this achievement, Anicut Capital’s total assets under management have now surpassed Rs 3,000 crore across various funds. The Equity Continuum Fund will target 5-6 companies demonstrating strong scalability, profitability, and readiness for an IPO.
The venture capital firm is also in the process of raising its third credit fund, aiming for a corpus of Rs 1,200-1,500 crore. Having already invested Rs 400 crore across seven deals, it expects full deployment of this corpus by the end of the financial year. The firm's managing partner, IAS Balamurugan, highlighted that their private credit initiatives and early-stage innovation funds are progressing well, with significant deployments expected by June 2024.
