Earlier in the day, an encounter erupted between security forces and terrorists in the same region. This incident follows the tragic loss of four army soldiers, including an officer, in an encounter in Doda days earlier.
The fatal encounter occurred in the Desa Forest area in Doda on Monday evening. The fallen soldiers have been identified as Captain Brijesh Thapa, Naik D Rajesh, Sepoy Bijendra, and Sepoy Ajay.
This clash is part of a series of recent terror attacks in the Jammu region, including an attack on an army convoy in Kathua and confrontations in Doda and Udhampur. The series of incidents have heightened concerns over regional security. (ANI)
