The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has introduced a new initiative named 'Yashaswini' under its 'Empower Her Udan' campaign. Launched on Thursday, July 18, this initiative aims to support and encourage women entrepreneurs nationwide, with the first phase commencing on Friday, July 19, in Jaipur.
According to Ankita Pandey, Director of MSME, approximately 600 women entrepreneurs in the state will participate in the event, set to begin today at the Rajasthan International Centre. The initiative seeks to provide formal education to women running commercial enterprises and raise awareness about the various MSME schemes available to them.
'The initiative aims to formally educate women operating commercial enterprises and inform them about MSME schemes,' Pandey stated. She added that women could register at different stalls at the center based on their skill development needs, including training, capacity building, capital utilization, market access, product development, and digital marketing.
Pandey emphasized that the event would mark the start of a continuous process, with ongoing workshops organized at local MSMEs for further development. 'This is not a one-day event; it will involve continuous training workshops at local MSME organizations,' she highlighted.
Today's event will feature the presence of Union Minister for MSME Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister of State for MSME Sobha Karandlaje, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, and State Cabinet Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore. (ANI)
