YSR Congress Criticizes Zero Allocation to Andhra Pradesh in Union Budget

The YSR Congress Party has accused the Central government of allocating 'zero' funds to Andhra Pradesh in the recently presented Union Budget by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

In an official statement, the party clarified that the Rs 15,000 crore mentioned is merely a surety for obtaining a loan for the state's capital, Amaravati.

While the yellow media and TDP have claimed that funds have been allocated, the Centre has stated that the amount is a guarantee for loans from various institutions. Sitharaman noted that special financial support through multilateral development agencies will be provided for Amaravati's development within the current fiscal year, with additional funding in the future.
