Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais on Tuesday stressed the need for job creation in tribal areas to curb migration for employment. Speaking in Wada, Palghar district, he underlined the importance of developing sustainable employment opportunities in tribal villages.

Addressing an award ceremony organized by ISKCON, Bais highlighted the necessity of more residential schools for tribal children, particularly girls, and long-term initiatives to elevate the quality of life for tribal communities. The governor urged corporates, public sector entities, and non-profits to contribute actively to tribal development.

Bais also visited the Govardhan Eco Village project in Galtare.
