Rajasthan Minister Praises Union Budget's Focus on Women and Development Initiatives

Rajasthan Minister Avinash Gehlot has praised the union government for its allocation of Rs 3 lakh crore aimed at benefiting women and girls as part of the Union Budget. The measure is envisioned to promote women-led development.
'Rs 3 lakh crore have been allocated for schemes benefiting women and girls. Under the Surya Ghar scheme, 1 crore homes will receive 300 units of free electricity. Kisan Credit Seva will initiate in five states, including Rajasthan. Our ally Bihar has been granted a special package of Rs 5,700 crores, while Andhra Pradesh will receive Rs 15,000 crore,' stated Gehlot. The Union Minister also highlighted plans to boost women's participation in the workforce by collaborating with industries to set up working women hostels and creches.
Sitaraman announced that the partnership aims to organize women-specific skilling programs and enhance market access for women SHG enterprises. 'This budget caters to the welfare of every section. It reduces the prices of everyday items such as cancer drugs, mobiles, leather, electric wires, and other essential goods,' he added.
Gehlot expressed gratitude towards PM Modi on behalf of Rajasthan, saying, 'I extend gratitude to PM Narendra Modi for delivering this historic budget. With the vision of 2047, we will strive to achieve 'Viksit Bharat' through this budget.' Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also highlighted the budget's focus on new airports and medical colleges in Bihar, temple corridors, and special funds for the Rajgir Jain Temple site. Andhra Pradesh received Rs 15,000 crore in financial support to address its capital needs for the current fiscal year.
