Heavy Rainfall Alert Issued in Madhya Pradesh

The Meteorological Office has issued a heavy rainfall alert for parts of Madhya Pradesh over the next five days. The alert predicts significant rainfall in eastern districts and showers in western districts on Wednesday. Rain deficits and surpluses have been recorded across different parts of the state.

The Meteorological Office issued a heavy rainfall alert on Wednesday for several districts in Madhya Pradesh, forecasting downpours over the next five days.

Meteorologist Shilpa Apte from IMD Bhopal reported, “There is an active monsoon trough moving towards the Bay of Bengal and another offshore trough from the coast of Gujarat to Karnataka, contributing to the rain in the state.”

Apte mentioned a 2% rain deficit statewide, with a 10% deficit in East MP and a 5% surplus in West MP. Notably, heavy rainfall is expected in eastern districts like Dindori, Katni, and Seoni, and in western districts such as Rajgarh and Barwani on Wednesday, extending to other areas towards Friday.
