In a significant development, the Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday mandated the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to provide hard copies of up to the 8th supplementary charge sheets to the accused by July 31. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and K Kavitha were produced via video conferencing from Tihar Jail. The court has directed jail authorities to present the accused via video conferencing on July 31.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh was exempted from the hearing due to attending the Parliament Session. The court extended the judicial custody of CM Arvind Kejriwal in a CBI case until August 8. Special judge Kaveri Baweja directed the ED to provide hard copies of supplementary charge sheets and scheduled the next hearing for July 31.

Special public prosecutor N K Matta appeared for ED, seeking time to provide hard copies, with soft copies to be given today. Kejriwal was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on July 12, having previously secured regular bail from the trial court on June 20. However, he remains in custody related to the Delhi Excise policy case.

National Secretary Pankaj Gupta represented AAP in court. Ashish Mathur, another accused, was granted bail on a Rs 1 lakh bond. On July 9, the court acknowledged the supplementary charge sheets against Kejriwal, Vinod Chauhan, and Mathur, issuing production warrants for them. The ED had earlier filed a supplementary prosecution complaint against Kejriwal and AAP on May 17.

The ED arrested Kejriwal, Sisodia, BRS leader K Kavitha, and others, including businessmen, in a money laundering case. Opposing Kejriwal's bail plea, ASG S V Raju cited evidence of a Rs 100 crore bribe for AAP's Goa campaign, with Rs 45 crore sent via Hawala from Vinod Chauhan to Chanpreet Singh.

ASG Raju highlighted Hawala transfers totaling Rs 45 crore corroborated by call records and witness statements. He argued Kejriwal was in contact with Chauhan and involved in the arrangement, with Rs 1 crore recovered from Chauhan. ASG contended Section 70 of PMLA applies to Kejriwal as head of AAP.
