Nation Honors Bravehearts on 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas

Uttarakhand Governor Lt. General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) honored the fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at Shaurya Sthal War Memorial in Dehradun to mark the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. He paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the 1999 Kargil War.
President Droupadi Murmu also paid homage, hailing the 'courage and extraordinary valor' of the armed forces. In a post on X, President Murmu called upon citizens to draw inspiration from the sacrifices and valor of the soldiers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Kargil War Memorial to honor the bravehearts. In his address, PM Modi stated that the nation's gratitude towards the soldiers who risked their lives is everlasting. Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed on July 26, commemorates the success of Operation Vijay in 1999, where Indian forces reclaimed strategic positions in Kargil.
