Investor Optimism Sends Sensex Soaring

Investors' wealth surged by Rs 7.10 lakh crore after the BSE Sensex jumped 1,292.92 points on Friday. Market capitalization hit an all-time high of Rs 4,56,92,671.33 crore. Key contributors included Bharti Airtel and Adani Ports, while Nestle was the only laggard. All indices ended higher across various sectors.

Investors’ wealth soared by Rs 7.10 lakh crore on Friday, courtesy of a sharp rally in the equity market that saw the BSE Sensex jump 1,292.92 points.

The 30-share BSE Sensex surged 1,292.92 points or 1.62 percent to 81,332.72, peaking at 1,387.38 points or 1.73 percent during the day to reach 81,427.18.

Buoyed by the optimistic trend, the market capitalization of BSE-listed firms skyrocketed by Rs 7,10,235.45 crore to an all-time high of Rs 4,56,92,671.33 crore (USD 5.46 trillion).
