A third body was recovered from the flooded basement of a coaching institute in Delhi's Rajendra Nagar, raising the death toll to three. Rescue teams are continuing their operation despite facing challenges due to high water levels and poor visibility.

Following the recovery of the bodies, a group of students staged a protest against the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Central, M Harshavardhan, urged the students to refrain from protesting as it could hamper rescue efforts.

"The bodies have been sent to the hospital for further legal proceedings. Rescue operations are ongoing, and approximately seven feet of water remains in the basement. I urge the student community to avoid the area to facilitate rescue efforts," he said. Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and divers are searching the flooded area.

Fire Officer Atul Garg reported that five fire vehicles were dispatched to the site at around 7:15 PM. After pumping out water, the bodies of two girls were recovered. Initially, three children were believed to be trapped; two have been found, and efforts are ongoing to locate the third. There were 30 students in the basement; most escaped, while three were trapped.

Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, calling for an inquiry into alleged corruption in the MCD and questioning why drainage systems were not adequately maintained.
