JSW Neo Energy Secures 192-MW Hybrid Power Project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam
JSW Neo Energy, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, secured a 192-MW hybrid power project, with an option for an additional 96 MW, from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam. This boosts JSW Energy's total locked-in generation capacity to 16.2 GW, aiming for 20 GW by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050.
JSW Energy announced on Monday that its subsidiary, JSW Neo Energy, has secured a 192-MW hybrid power project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam, including an additional 96 MW under the greenshoe option.
The project is part of a larger initiative to establish 500 MW Grid-connected Hybrid Power Projects, with the opportunity for additional capacity up to 500 MW. The company received a Letter of Intent (LoI) for this initiative.
With this new capacity, JSW Energy's total locked-in generation capacity is set to reach 16.2 GW, including 2.1 GW of hybrid capacity. The company aims to increase its installed generation capacity to 10 GW by FY25 and reach 20 GW, along with 40 GWh of energy storage, by 2030, targeting carbon neutrality by 2050.
