IMD Issues Orange Alert Amid Persistent Monsoon in Madhya Pradesh, CM Ensures Flood Preparedness

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for various regions in Madhya Pradesh as the monsoon season continues to impact the state. According to the IMD, rainfall was recorded in several divisions, while other areas remained generally dry.

The IMD noted no significant changes in maximum temperatures across all divisions, although the districts in the Indore Division experienced lower-than-normal temperatures. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures were below normal in the Namakkal and Ujjain divisions but remained normal elsewhere.

On Monday afternoon, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited the state's Flood Control Room to monitor the situation. He emphasized the need to prevent loss of lives and tragic incidents related to the heavy rains. Instructions have been issued to District Collectors, SPs, and NDRF teams for coordinated efforts to ensure safety.
