Union Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, launched the Ideas4LiFE initiative on Monday at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. The initiative invites innovative ideas related to products and services that promote eco-friendly lifestyles. Minister of State for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Kirti Vardhan Singh, also attended the event.

Yadav encouraged students, research scholars, faculty, and innovators to propose out-of-the-box ideas that align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of mindful and deliberate resource utilization. He emphasized the initiative's goal to motivate contributions to the global 'Mission LiFE', aiming for environmental sustainability. Yadav stressed the importance of this mission, noting that nature provides pure resources while humanity tends to deliver impure outputs.

Highlighting the need for introspection and conservation, Yadav said, 'This is the time to save nature for future generations, as it provides us with essential resources like food, oil, energy, and medicine.' The launch event saw attendance from Secretary (EF&CC) Leena Nandan, UGC Chairman Prof. Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, AICTE Chairman Prof. T. G. Sitharam, IIT Delhi Director Prof. Rangan Banerjee, and over 1,000 students and academic faculty.
