Govt Empowering Officials through Digital India Workshops

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and IIM-Bangalore are hosting a 6-day workshop, attended by central and state officials, to advance digital governance. The program focuses on empowering leaders to drive digital transformation in the public sector.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is hosting a 6-day intensive workshop in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-Bangalore) as part of the Digital India Initiative. The event, running until August 3, is designed to advance digital governance across central and state government levels.

Attended by officials from both Central Line Ministries and State departments, this initiative aligns with MeitY's vision for an integrated approach to digital governance. The Digital Government Senior Leaders' Programme (DGSLP), a key component of the initiative, aims to equip senior government officials with the necessary knowledge for digital transformation in public services.

The program commenced on July 29, 2024, with senior officials from NeGD, MeitY, and IIM-Bangalore in attendance. It focuses on the benefits and impacts of digital government on public service delivery, citizen engagement, and organizational effectiveness. The DGSLP also addresses contemporary issues in managing large-scale digital governance projects and shares insights from successful implementations. This marks the fourth DGSLP batch since its inception in October 2022, part of MeitY's broader capacity-building scheme under the Digital India Programme to cultivate relevant skills across all government levels.
