Neighbor Allegedly Rapes Differently-Abled Girl in Kurla

A 27-year-old differently-abled girl in Kurla was allegedly raped by her neighbor, who had gained her family's trust. The incident occurred under the pretext of fetching food, and a case has been registered while the police are still searching for the accused.

A 27-year-old differently-abled girl has allegedly been raped by a man living next door in Kurla, police reported. The victim, residing with her 65-year-old mother, has been undergoing treatment at JJ Hospital for several years due to mental and physical challenges.

The accused, known for assisting the victim's mother with household chores, supposedly lured the girl under the pretext of fetching food. The crime came to light when the girl returned home scared and with blood stains on her clothing.

Following a complaint at the Kurla police station, a case has been registered against the accused under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code. Authorities are currently searching for the accused, who remains at large.
