CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Takes Swift Action in Disaster-Hit Areas in Uttarakhand

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the disaster-affected areas of Rudraprayag and Kedarnath, where roads were severely damaged due to river erosions and heavy rains on Thursday. Dhami checked on the well-being of devotees and issued instructions to officials to manage the situation efficiently.
The Chief Minister's prompt actions garnered gratitude from the devotees. Earlier on Thursday, Dhami conducted a field inspection in Tehri Garhwal district's Beheda area, overseeing rescue and relief operations following heavy rains and disasters.
Dhami met with affected residents, inquiring about their conditions. He confirmed three fatalities and major damage to bridges due to a cloudburst and heavy rains. "Relief and rescue operations are ongoing. We're ensuring that people in disaster relief camps face no difficulties," Dhami stated.
He also announced that restoration work would proceed swiftly and that the Chardham Yatra would be conducted according to forecasts from the Meteorological Department. NDRF and SDRF teams have reached areas where two bridges were washed away on the Kedarnath route, and stranded people are being evacuated. A video shared on social media by CM Dhami's office shows him meeting with affected locals.
"Chief Minister Dhami inspected the situation on-site and assured all possible help to the disaster-affected people," read the social media post. In another tragic event, two people were found dead and one injured after a cloudburst in Jakhanyali, Ghansali area of Tehri Garhwal district.
