Governor Inaugurates 'Chintan Shivir cum Education Conclave 2024' in Itanagar

Arunachal Pradesh Governor, Lt General KT Parnaik (Retd.), inaugurated the 'Chintan Shivir cum Education Conclave 2024' in Itanagar, emphasizing the need for a holistic education framework. He stressed the importance of NEP 2020 implementation, teacher roles, and innovative approaches to elevate the state's education standards.

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General KT Parnaik (Retd.) inaugurated the 3-day 'Chintan Shivir cum Education Conclave 2024', themed 'Shikshit Arunachal - Viksit Arunachal', at the DK Convention Centre in Itanagar on Thursday. The Governor urged all stakeholders to build a physical, mental, and moral foundation for students, shaping them into well-rounded citizens.

Highlighting the significance of education, the Governor stated, 'Proper education equips individuals with knowledge and skills needed for personal, professional, and social growth. It awakens joy, curiosity, and a desire for leadership roles, contributing positively to society.'

Emphasising the 'Guru-Shishya Parampara,' he underscored the crucial role of teachers, advocating for innovative training programs. The Governor also called for implementing NEP 2020 to foster critical thinking and creativity, and suggested a curriculum reflecting Arunachal Pradesh's rich cultural heritage.

The Governor lauded initiatives like NIPUN Bharat and PM SHRI Schools as exemplary benchmarks in education. He acknowledged the efforts of the state Education Minister and officials and expressed hope that the conclave would significantly enhance the educational framework of Arunachal Pradesh.

The event saw participation from State Education Minister PD Sona, MLA Mutchu Mithi, Commissioner Education Amjad Tak, and various educational representatives, all contributing to a robust discussion on the state's educational progress. (ANI)
