An unidentified man allegedly called the Government Railway Police control room on Friday, claiming that RDX had been planted at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), police reported. The claim triggered an immediate search operation at all CSMT stations, but no explosives were found.

In an official statement, the Government Railway Police (GRP) confirmed they received the call. 'An unidentified person called and claimed RDX was placed at CSMT. The GRP quickly informed the local police and bomb squad. A thorough search at all CSMT locations revealed nothing,' the statement said.

Efforts are underway to trace the caller. 'Attempts to locate the caller showed his position near CSMT. However, the individual soon switched off the mobile phone. The call originated from numbers traced to locations in both Mumbai and Bihar,' the police added.

Further details are awaited (ANI).
