Heavy Rains Cause Wall Collapse in Delhi, Injuring Two

Two individuals were injured in Delhi's Dichaon area when a tree, uprooted by heavy rains, caused a school wall to collapse. The victims, Rajesh and Ashok Kumar Yadav, were treated at Rao Tula Ram Memorial Hospital and later discharged.

Two individuals were injured after a wall of a Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) school in Delhi's Dichaon area collapsed, along with an uprooted tree, following heavy rains on Friday.

The incident occurred when a large Neem tree, destabilized by the downpour, fell onto the school wall, which subsequently collapsed onto two motorcycle riders seeking shelter from the rain. A police official confirmed the details, identifying the injured as Rajesh, 25, and Ashok Kumar Yadav, 32.

Both victims were rushed to Rao Tula Ram Memorial Hospital by the Police Control Room (PCR) and have since been discharged. The rains caused traffic issues and waterlogging in several parts of Delhi-NCR, with the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) noting significant rainfall in areas like Palam.
