Tragic Roof Collapse Claims Two Lives in Koch

A woman and her seven-year-old son died, and two others were injured after a roof collapsed in Koch. The family was asleep when the incident occurred due to rain. Local authorities are providing medical assistance and financial aid to the survivors while investigating the incident.

A tragic incident unfolded in Koch's Mahaluba village early Sunday, as a roof collapse claimed the lives of a woman and her seven-year-old son while injuring two others.

The collapse, attributed to rain, occurred around 5:30 am, trapping the family inside. Upon receiving information from villagers, the police rushed to the scene and transported the injured to Koch Primary Health Center, where doctors pronounced 32-year-old Mohini and her son Debu dead, according to Superintendent of Police Devesh Kumar.

District authorities, including the magistrate, inspected the site and assured proper treatment for the injured father and daughter, who have been referred to a medical college. The family will receive financial assistance, and an investigation is underway to determine further details.
