Waha Oilfield Maintenance Completed, Production Resumes

Waha Oil Company announced that maintenance on the Zaggut-Sidra pipeline linking Libya's Waha oilfield to the Es-Sider port has been completed. Oil production is expected to return to normal following a suspension due to a fire. Pumping operations have been restored, and tankers are now operational at the port.

Maintenance on the Zaggut-Sidra pipeline, connecting Libya's Waha oilfield to the port of Es-Sider, has been successfully completed, Waha Oil Company announced on Friday.

The company stated that oil production from the field is anticipated to return to normal levels within hours. Operations were halted earlier this week due to a fire that necessitated immediate maintenance.

Waha Oil confirmed that pumping operations have resumed after all necessary repairs and safety tests were conducted. An engineer at Es-Sider port mentioned that one tanker is currently loading, with another waiting to enter the port.

Waha Oil, a subsidiary of Libya's National Oil Corp (NOC), operates in a joint venture with TotalEnergies and ConocoPhillips. The company oversees five primary fields: Waha, Gallo, Al-Fargh, Al-Samah, and Al-Dhahra, with a total production capacity of approximately 300,000 bpd, which is exported via the Es-Sider terminal.
