Hemant Soren's Initiatives Uplift Jharkhand Women

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren extended Raksha Bandhan greetings and highlighted his government's initiatives for women’s empowerment. He emphasized schemes providing financial aid to widows, single mothers, adolescent girls, and support for alternative livelihoods. Over 48 lakh women benefit from these historic measures promoting dignity and self-respect.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday extended Raksha Bandhan greetings and highlighted several groundbreaking schemes aimed at empowering women in the state.

Soren pointed out that Jharkhand is the first state in India to offer a monthly pension of Rs 1,000 to widows, abandoned or single mothers, and women over 50. Under the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana, more than 48 lakh women receive Rs 12,000 annually. The scheme was launched recently in Pakur.

In addition, Soren's government has initiated the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana, providing Rs 40,000 to 10 lakh adolescent girls. Financial aid and livelihood support totaling over Rs 10,000 crore have been distributed to women through various initiatives.
