Tragedy Strikes as Sisters Commit Suicide Over Allegations of Molestation

In a heart-wrenching incident, two sisters in Mankapur reportedly committed suicide by jumping into a river on Monday. Their father, Suresh Kumar, has accused his son-in-law of molesting his younger daughters, a claim that adds a chilling layer to the tragic event.

The girls, identified as Sunita (19) and Punita (17), informed their father they were leaving and would never return. Kumar dismissed their words initially, thinking they were merely going out for a short while. However, when the girls did not come back, villagers began a frantic search for them.

Authorities, aided by local villagers, recovered the sisters' bodies from the Bisuhi river. Station House Officer Santosh Kumar Mishra revealed that the girls had tied themselves together with a piece of cloth before their fatal jump. Tragically, the sisters had promising academic futures, with Sunita having passed class 12 and Punita being a class 10 student.
