CM Revanth Reddy's Lifeline: Supporting Orphaned Durga and Empowering Women

Telangana's CM Revanth Reddy orders care for orphaned Durga and extends warm Rakhi festival greetings. He highlights innovative women's empowerment schemes, such as free bus travel, affordable gas cylinders, and free power supply, as part of Six Guarantees.

On Monday, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy instructed District Collector Abhilash Abhinav to ensure that Durga, an 11-year-old orphaned after her mother M Gangamani's suicide, receives proper care. Gangamani, who lived in Tanur Mandal in Nirmal District, ended her life on Saturday night, leaving her daughter alone.

Following the Chief Minister's directive, Durga will be admitted to a Gurukul school to receive free education. District Collector Abhilash Abhinav assured that necessary medical treatment and other facilities would be provided for the girl. Meanwhile, earlier this week, Reddy extended his warm greetings to women in Hyderabad during the Rakhi festival.

Reddy emphasized the importance of the festival, which symbolizes a strong brother-sister bond, and expressed his hope that it would be celebrated with great joy. He highlighted efforts by the 'people's government' to empower women through innovative schemes, including free bus travel, cooking gas cylinders at Rs 500, and free power supply of up to 200 units, as part of the Six Guarantees initiative.
