Polygraph Test Scheduled for Main Suspect in Trainee's Rape and Murder Case

Delays occurred due to technical reasons and lack of preparation by jail officials. Other involved individuals, including a former medical college principal, are also being tested.

Sanjoy Roy, the main suspect in the alleged rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee at a Kolkata hospital, is set to undergo a polygraph test tomorrow. A senior CBI official cited technical difficulties and inadequate jail arrangements for today's postponement.

Meanwhile, polygraph tests for other individuals, including former R.G. Kar Medical College principal Sandip Ghosh, are currently taking place at the CBI office in Kolkata. "The team will visit the jail tomorrow to conduct the polygraph test," the official stated, emphasizing that clear instructions have been given to the jail administration for the necessary preparations.

A team of experts from CFSL Delhi has arrived in Kolkata to assist with the tests, which will involve not just Roy, but also former principal Ghosh, four doctors, and a volunteer, all linked to the alleged crime. The test for the main accused will be conducted in jail, while others have been summoned to the CBI office.
