On Tuesday, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet approved 13 crucial proposals aimed at rural development and tourism enhancement. Among the prominent decisions was the sanctioning of the Maintenance Policy 2024 under the Jal Jeevan Mission, focusing on the upkeep of completed piped drinking water supply schemes in rural areas.
Additionally, the cabinet greenlit the leasing of tourist guest houses under the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Department for 30 years, targeting those currently operating at a loss or shut down. In the education sector, the cabinet endorsed increased scholarships for Sanskrit students under the Department of Secondary Education.
Post-meeting, Minister Sanjay Nishad announced upcoming regulations for social media platforms like Instagram, highlighting the introduction of new policies. Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya expressed confidence in the BJP's prospects for the impending assembly bypolls in ten vacant seats, stating robust preparations at all levels. SBSP chief OP Rajbhar reiterated the NDA's commitment to securing all ten seats.
