The Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, along with other BJP MLAs, will meet President Droupadi Murmu on August 30 at 5 p.m. to discuss the implications of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's imprisonment on the capital's administration.
The delegation, which includes MLAs Mohan Singh Bisht, Om Prakash Sharma, Ajay Mahawar, Abhay Verma, Anil Bajpai, Jitender Mahajan, Kartar Singh Tanwar, and former Delhi Minister Rajkumar Anand, alleges that Kejriwal's government is riddled with corruption. They claim the city's administrative system has crumbled, exacerbated by monsoon rains and frequent accidents.
The presentation to the President will also highlight the failure to form the Sixth Delhi Finance Commission and the delay in presenting the Comptroller and Auditor General's report in the House. Gupta stated, 'Kejriwal's government in Delhi is engulfed in corruption, and the city's administrative system has collapsed. The monsoon rains have created a flood-like situation, putting residents in severe crisis. The government's ineffectiveness in preventing frequent accidents has further worsened the situation.'
Following the meeting with the President, the Opposition leader will address the media on Friday at 5 p.m.
