Indian Air Force Mobilizes Massive NDRF Aid to Flood-Hit Andhra Pradesh

On Monday, the Indian Air Force dispatched two IL-76 aircraft from Halwara and Bhatinda to transport over 200 NDRF personnel and substantial relief materials to the flood-stricken regions of Vijayawada and Shamshabad. This initiative was confirmed by the Indian Air Force Media Co-ordination Centre.
In a post on social media platform X, the IAF detailed the rapid deployment, which saw 242 NDRF personnel and 30 tons of relief materials airlifted to the affected areas. Additionally, multiple helicopters have been put on standby to assist further if necessary.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu surveyed the flood-inflicted zones of Vijayawada, stating his administration's commitment to streamline disaster responses, deploying 110 boats for food and medical relief. Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer urged citizens to remain indoors unless necessary and called for NGO coordination in ongoing relief efforts.
