In a gesture of appreciation for the critical role of educators, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel marked Teachers' Day by contributing to the Teachers' Welfare Fund. This annual event, celebrated on September 5, honours the birth anniversary of former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a distinguished educationalist.
Students from St. Xavier's School and the School of Achievers in Gandhinagar visited the Chief Minister's residence to collect voluntary donations. Speaking on this occasion, Patel praised the invaluable contribution of teachers to both individual growth and societal development. He encouraged broader support for the welfare fund.
The event saw attendance from prominent figures including District Collector Mehul Dave, District Development Officer J.B. Patel, District Education Officer Dr. Bhagwanbhai Prajapati, and Primary Education Officer Piyush Patel. Earlier, Patel and Union Home Minister Amit Shah posted messages on social media commemorating Dr. Radhakrishnan and appreciating teachers nationwide.
